The Great Bubble Barrier develops a bubble-curtain system that pumps air through a perforated tube on a riverbed to create an upward current, directing plastic waste (from cigarette butts to furniture) to the surface and into a catchment system, deployed for governments, municipalities, and NGOs to intercept river plastic before it reaches the ocean.
